Happy New Year,

Dear Readers! I wish you all a wonderful New Year!

My photos might seem a little strange as they lack a bit of bling and glamour, but there's a reason for that. This resembles the trends of next year.. What will we put in our frames, which magazines will we read and what will our cushion covers look like?!
Is grey the new black?! Will we be mixing old with new?
I can't wait to see what 2013 will bring. Which colours do you think will be the most trendy?

I'm working on

my plan for next year, so I've been very quiet this week..

I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas.

We didn't just have Santa come visit, but also the Tooth Fairy.
They came on the same night, so I wonder if they met in the hall?! ;)

I'll let you know more about what I'm doing later, but I just wanted to say hi as it's been a while.
Have you got any new ideas for next year? I would love to hear about them!

Our 4 candles are now lit and Santa will be coming very soon. Magnus is of course very excited. Santa's presents are all wrapped up in red wrapping paper.

Christmas at Kaspara's

is a little bit different than in most homes, but oh so cute!
There's a mixture of home made, new and old.
A more fitting name I really couldn't think of.
I love all the colour combinations!
Pop over to Kaspara's for some DIY ideas.

DIY Christmas tree

Yes, I've made another Christmas tree. All you need is a sheet of chipboard, some nails, a hammer, a ruler and some string.. When Christmas is over I'll turn this around and use it as a notice board in my office. 2 in 1! Who knows maybe next Christmas I'll change the colour of the string and re-use it.

Hostess gifts

Don't always feel like bringing flowers or wine to a party?!
Well, this hostess gift by Sugar & Cloth is really easy to make and looks great too.

I like "making" chocolates. First cut up and mix nuts, biscuits, marsipan and/or marsmallows, then poor melted cooking chocolate over the mix. Put it in the fridge to set and cut into bits! Very simple and it's so good! A box or a jar of these chocolates would make a great home made hostess gift.

I've yet to try this with white chocolate, but I've got the feeling that I will soon. mmmm!

Christmas market

So today I got up really early and spent the whole day at a Christmas market. It was a nice change. I had a little stall selling some of my cards and ornaments.

Sadly I can't say that I made all these lovely things. Aren't they just gorgeous?!

    My kind of home

I love the natural colours in this very stylish Italian home. The Jean Prouvé lamp in the kitchen looks great, but I also love the simple kitchen layout. Of course the beams don't look bad either.

Jul i vårt hus/ Christmas in our home

With these photos I'm taking part in the Norwegian Interior blogger's challenge "Christmas in our home". We're having a natural Christmas this year, but with quite a few black details. I've wrapped our Christmas presents in brown paper for a long time, but this year I'm also using black and white paper. The vintage bench and the zinc bucket are both recent flea market finds. The star and the little Christmas tree I've sprayed black. The tree was waiting for me in the woods nearby...
