Yes, it's that time again. Hope you've had a great weekend!!
We spent lots of time outside, as we had really nice weather.

Raw table DIY

I really like this console table and I would love to have a go at making one. I'm a bit limited on space just now otherwise I'd make it tomorrow. It's got such a cool raw finish and the length of it makes it look extra special. It's basically a rectangular box with legs right?! What do you think? DIYable?!

I really miss my DIY projects and will have to resort to smaller ones.
I guess Christmas is coming up..

Tuesday Tips - Trend Alert Primary Colours

I know it's hadly a new thing, but I keep seeing Primary Colours everywhere. Sometimes a little splash of colour can look great. Let's introduce Blues, Reds and Yellows..

Primary colours can be added in many ways. It can be anything from a frame, a lamp a chair to a kitchen or a wall. One thing is for sure and that is Primary Colours really stick out.

Are you ready to introduce some Primary Colours to your home?
Be as bold as you feel comfortable with.
I'm thinking of buying a large blue rug for our living room.
I think one needs a bit of colour in Scotland..

Tuesday Tips will be back next week with a DIY.

A day at the museum

We went to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow today. Such an impressive and inspiring place. The fact I liked the most.. It was seriously busy! It's a brilliant place to spend a few hours and it's also free so everybody can enjoy it.

Hope the weekend was good to you.

Possible DIY?

Not only do I love the way this is styled, but also the effect on the unit doors. I think you could DIY this by simply masking it out in drawing thin lines. What do you think? Would it be possible? I think this is a DIY for the future..

Large living space

You might have noticed that I really like white floors and white walls.. so when I saw this I did of course like it a lot! Not to mention all the light you get from those fab sliding doors.

Look at the length of that sofa! If you have a large space like this you really need the furniture to match the space. I think they've done a really good job here. In this case size really matters. This large room really needs large pieces of furniture.

I could move straight in here. Wouldn't change a thing. Would you?

BT House was designed by Studio Guilherme Torres, and it is located in São Paulo, Brazil. Photos by: Denilson Machado To see more photos of this fabulous home click here

I'll try to get back to normal again with the blog, but I've not been well since moving. My back is worse and I keep having migraines. Pinterest have been good lately as I can pin like mad for a couple of minutes and rest again. :)

At last..

Hello from (rainy and sunny) Scotland!

We've settled in to our rented apartment. I will of course show you some photos soon, but I'm not quite ready yet. I'm not a person who buys everything straight away I'm quite happy to wait for the right thing. We were without chairs (ok we had 2 and my vintage bench) for over 3 weeks.. Then I found a bargain; 6 second hand chairs for 15£ (not per chair, but for all six!) and they are perfect. Good things come to those who wait and all that..

So instead of showing you our new home I'll show you our French home (again.. ) In the mail a couple of days ago I received "Sanselige Rom" or "Room for all the Senses" a new book by Franciska Munck-Johansen. I'm so excited to have taken part in the book with 8 A4 pages. Pretty exciting! There are lots of beautiful photos and DIY ideas in this book. To find out where to order it click HERE

Tuesday Tips - Bedroom workspace

With limited space for my office in our bedroom it's all about being organised. In order to not completely take over the bedroom, I've stored everything I don't need on a daily basis under the bed in storage boxes. This way I still have easy acces to things when I need them, but the bedroom doesn't feel cluttered (neither does the office space).

I think the most important thing for a bedroom office is to face away from the bed. Ideally towards a window, but of course that's not always possible. You need to create a feeling of NOT being in the bedroom. After all you're "at work"..

For me it's really important that my desk is easy to change.. you might have noticed that I change things (a lot), so (for now) I'm using a back to front canvas as shelves. I've hung up my calendar and surrounded myself with some nice memories and inspiring quotes.

Alvhem

I wrote this post before I left France. I now know that a bedroom workspace can be great and can work well, but remember to be organised and avoid clutter! Your space needs to feel inspiring.

I'll be back with more Tuesday Tips next week! Hope to see you then!
It's nice to be back!
Have a lovely day.

Guest Blogger - Patchwork Harmony

It's Caroline here today, blogger at Patchwork Harmony and editor of online magazine - 91 Magazine
I'm chuffed to be guest blogging as I fell in love with Hege's blog a little while ago when I spotted her home over on Houzz and asked her if I could feature it on my blog
I really love her style and am so looking forward to seeing what she does with her new place in Scotland.

So in honour of Hege's move to Scotland I thought I would feature one of my favourite Scottish stylists, Rosie Brown, who also runs online shop, Papa Stour
Rosie worked in London for magazines such as Elle Decoration, Living Etc and Homes and Gardens as well as brands like The White Company and Laura Ashley for years, but in 2005 she decided to move back to Scotland and set up Papa Stour. As well as the shop she continues to work in styling and photography and also owns a beautiful rental property on the West coast of Scotland.

I think you'll agree Rosie's style has a beautiful, natural feel to it - earthy tones, lots of plants and natural materials - these spaces make me feel really relaxed!
To find out more about Rosie and her business and styling work you can read an interview we did with her in issue 3 of 91 Magazine - which is featured on page 78.

thanks for having me Hege! x
