Gold spray paint

These days we see more and more gold in interiors. If you haven't got any gold details, well here's how to acheive the look simply with some gold spray paint. I'll be consentrating this post to office glamour, so here we go.

If you've got a piece of furniture, some boring old ornaments, a lamp, some recycled bottles  let's glam things up with some gold. How easy can it get?! The difference is stunning. Yes, you can even spray the edges on your business cards! No limits here!

As always be modest. Don't spray everything gold, just a few things
(I always have to remind myself..) Remember it's all in the details
Have a lovely day!

Tuesday Tips - DIY Easter eggs

It's time for some Tuesday Tips. This time I've chosen a really easy, but very GLAM Easter DIY. I went to 5 shops and couldn't find any natural looking feathers anywhere.. and then I remembered I wrote a post about Feathers a while back and I got really excited. I had thousands of feathers at home.. So I rushed back and here's the result.

I simply cut open an inner cushion. I think the duck feathers look lovely and so soft.

I sprayed some Easter eggs with gold spray paint. The eggs were just cheap ones we got for Magnus last year. Don't worry I kept a couple of the rabbit ones for him, so the Easter Bunny can hide them in the garden for him. :)

My "ribbon" is a pair of black tights that I simply tied and cut. Yes, I had fun doing this and it was so easy.  Re-use, recycling and upcycling all in one!

If you're on Pinterest here are some more Easter DIYs for you. If you haven't joined Pinterest yet DO IT, you're loosing out it's so much fun!

Hope you liked today's Tuesday Tips Easter DIY.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Art DIY

Here's a quick DIY for you. It's very easy and cost peanuts. I already had a chipboard panel that I hadn't used, so I decided to paint it in order to add some colour to our living room.

Hege in France ART diy

Here's what to do;
First start by finding the middle of the board. Then mask out the desired area to the middle point. I painted the smallest part black. Wait for it to dry, then mask out the other side, it should also meet in the middle. I painted the second side gold. Wait for it to dry again before you do the last part. Here you mask on top of what you have already painted and it needs to be really accurate so you don't want to paint over anything. Paint, wait for it to dry and that's it! You can of course make this DIY in any colour and any size. I had leftover paint, so this project cost me 6€. Not bad I think.

My "art" is now displayed in our living room. If you missed my Tuesday Tips - Add large boards post click HERE to read it.

This Tuesday Tips is all about how to display your art or the lack of it

Why not show it back to front?

Or you could create a picture wall.

Or simply by using some Masking Tape.

I don't think there are any rules of how to best display art. You can mix old with new, different colours and shapes. Anything goes, but it's all about being creative and finding what you like. Don't just copy somebody else. Be creative!

At the moment my favorite is an empty canvas.

Which one is your favorite?

Hope you've enjoyed todays Tuesday Tips

At the bakers

in Denmark. I could spend hours here feasting on Danish pastries. I think the experience of tasting a proper Danish pastry is worth visiting Denmark in itself, but Denmark does of course have a lot more to offer. It's always been one of my favorite countries to visit as we used to go on holiday to Denmark when I was little. This bakers is well kitted out Gubi style. Enjoy!

DIY book origami

I've seen this on several blogs lately. Here's my version. I folded 5 pages at the time (in half) and tore away the cover pages. There are lots of ways of folding books and this is just one of them.

Hege in France DIY book origami

You can find more DIY book origami inspiration on these lovely blogs Lotta Agaton, Annaleenas Hem, Bungalow5 and of course on Pinterest too.

In the photo I've covered old books in wrapping paper and also wall paper.

Fancy having a go? It's easy or at least the one I tried was..

Here the sun is shining, well at least for now. I just checked the weather forcast for the weekend and now wish I hadn't. Rain, rain and more rain..  Oh no!

Happy Friday!!
