Look at my

2 pages in the Christmas book I was telling you about a while back.
This was the first ever styling I did back in November last year..
I took part in my first challenge on the Norwegian Interior Blogger site
and I made it to the final with the bottom left photo. :)

Then I sent in photos to Franciska's blog as she was writing a Christmas book
and I was chosen to be a part of it! How exciting is that?!
2 whole pages in a beautiful book!
Can't wait to hold it in my hands.

Many other bloggers are taking part and of course Franciska being a photographer has taken lots of photos too. If you are interested in purchasing the book or finding out more about it you can click here. The book will be available from the beginning of November.

Thank you, Franciska for giving me this opportunity!

Have a nice evening!

Diy idea

This morning I had a sparkling idea and here it is..

This is what I used..
some nails and some crystals I had lying around..

First hammer in the nail (!) then glue on a crystal..
EASY!

So now we can hang our kitchen key on a very posh diamond nail. :)
Hope you like it!
Sadly my camera isn't good enough to show the sparkle...

Thank you to lovely Holly for guest posting this morning!
Hope you all enjoyed it and that you'll check out her cool new site

Have a lovely evening!!

Guest post

Hello there! My name is Holly von Huene. I am an interior design consultant and founder of HvH Interiors. Just recently, I started a new project called The Design Chef. I was utterly delighted when Hege asked me to contribute a post to her lovely blog about my new project. The Design Chef is where I create abstract interior design recipes inspired by actual food. If you'd like, feel free to check out the concept in more detail as to provide context for what is to follow :)

This recipe was created exclusively for Hege in France readers. I let my interpretation of Hege's wonderful style inspire a fully French design recipe - featuring a French interior combined with a typical French dish. I hope you enjoy it!

Buttery Escargot Kitchen à la Hege In France

Ingredients:

- 1 kitchen space
- rustic wooden items (like a large dining table or a raw wood beam)
- buttery soft white walls and floor
- a shiny, garlicky backsplash
- 4 industrial style chairs
- a few green plants

Instructions:

In a clean, hollowed out kitchen space, insert the buttery soft walls and floor along with the shiny, garlicky backsplash. Next, spread the rustic wooden items and the chairs into the space. Drop in a few green plants to top it off. Bake until ingredients begin to melt together (not too long) and serve immediately.

Bon Appétit!

All white

You'll find this beautiful house in Cadaqués in Spain. I love the mosaic rugs on the floor, not to
mention the furniture, the staricase, the trolley in the kitchen and of course the view.. Dreamy
don't you think?!

Have a lovely day!
Later I'll show you something I'm very proud of. :)

Sales..

Today Magnus and I went to the shops to have a look in the sale.
(we were only there for 5 hours ha ha! He thinks we went to 24 shops!
He's probably not far off...)

Here are some of the things we got..

A lovely black and grey blanket for our bed.

This top was marked down 80%, so it cost me 2€.. and I'll be making a cushion out of it.. :)
I got the largest size they had..

and some summer clothes for him and me.
Love the sales!

Poor husband only came away with this..

Quite nice though..
It'll be good to have in the car as it's now suddenly 34 degrees again..
Very very HOT!

And, yes thank you, we had a lovely time yesterday.

Welcome to new members!

Off to the

end of the year performance with my son! They were so cute last year. Looking forward to it.

Loving this today, by Frk Elton..  (If I only had a nice handwriting I'd try it myself)
Check out the blackboard with the belt, styling, moodboard,
and on top of that a cool desk lamp with the words

"Everything has beauty, but not everyone can see it!"

Love it!

Thanks to Mariela for the stylish award!!
Amazing to be mentioned with the other blogs you've chosen.
Makes me laugh (out loud!)

Better get those shirts IRONED... :)
Yes, Deborah if you're reading I do iron sometimes
just not very often

Have a nice evening!
Big hug

More hallway

A mix of styles I guess, but I'm quite pleased with it..

The hall has been a mess for ages as I've been storing various bits of furniture there,
but now that it's gone it looks much better again.

On the wall I've put old scrapbooking paper in black, white and orange..

It's nice to see some lovely entries in my "Summer in the house" challenge.

Have a lovely evening.
I'll be dealing with my grumpy 5 year old. ;)

Door transformation..

Our internal doors are quite inexpensive pine doors.. but they get a lot of compliments as they now look expensive.. What did I do?! I simply bought some woodstain with a grey finish, stained all doors one time (If you want a darker finish you do 2 coats). Then they were treated with a anti-stain protection. Simple! AND it only cost me €20 to do and a few hours of my time, but it was easy! :)

I couldn't find a before photo, but they basically looked like this..

I chose rusty looking door handles for all of our doors. Upstairs and downstairs. Love them!

Have a nice day!
