I found it!

Remember I was talking about the wall behind our bed the other day?! Well... instead of trying and perhaps failing miserably to use cement... I've found wall paper that looks like a cemented wall. Have seen similar things before, but they've always been far too expensive. So, we've bought it and the whole wall cost us 35€ including the glue! Wow! Quite impressed! And on top of that, we got to borrow a steamer to take the old wallpaper off! So that's the plan for tomorrow.. at least steaming the wall.. :) pleased!

What do you think? Nice right?!

Some inspiration..

After a lovely Christmas I now need some inspiration of something other than Christmas.. We'll be doing our bedroom wall in January and I'm starting to prepare for it.. hence the reason for this bedroom inspiration.

At least I know for sure that I want to use the headboard that I upcycled earlier this autumn.

As always I try to design things the most inexpensive way possible and of course I use unique things to make it that little bit more special...  You'll have to wait another couple of weeks before our bedroom is finished.. :)

Early x-mas present

Our chairs have arrived!!! Thank you so much to my parents!! Our Christmas present is here! So excited!! Here are our new repro Tolix chairs;

 

And soon this old lamp will arrive!!  It's going to look good! :) Have been looking for a lamp for our dining room for a while as i didn't like the one we've got.. so found this very different and a bit scratched lamp on the internet. What do you think?

Christmas shelf

Have been rearranging again... I love the lights on the shelf above the sofa.. They're so cute. It looks lovely in the dark.

Our new dining room chairs have arrived!!!! Can't wait to get some photos of them. I tried tonight, but the light was not good enough, so I have to try again tomorrow :) Have a nice evening! hx

I'm keeping one box for myself. Here's the Chocolates I made last night :) It's so easy! You melt some cooking chocolate then mix in marshmallows, walnuts, pistachio nuts and shortbread (both marshmallows and shortbread where cut up into smaller bits first). Put it in the fridge and you're done! It's the most delicious Christmas sweet you can imagine. YAM!!!!

Exciting!

So excited this morning when I discovered that my Christmas photos were on a French site! :) I went to the blog Cherry Blossom one of my favorites and there it was.. I saw my photo from a site she had been on, but didn't recognize the name..  the blog is called amorelou2 

I then realized that she had found them via the style files..  based in The Netherlands. 
It's also on this Spanish blog with lots of comments! :) hihi! Big smile! 

You might be used to this kind of stuff, but for me this is a first and it's HUGE!!! So happy! People like my stuff!!!!! hx 

More rubbish?

Went to the local antique shop again today.. and came away with this....

I asked the owner if he had any frames and he said.. ah you mean old ones, you don't like new things, do you? :) Have only been there a couple of times before and he already knows what I like.

Outside he had some random bits of wood that I think he was actually going to chuck out..  Instead he gave it to me! I'll be painting it black, I think. It used to be a part of an old wardrobe. So instead of him getting rid of it, I'm going to upcycle it and put it to good use. I'll leave this for another day though. Magnus want's me to make him popcorn... have a nice Saturday! hx

Too much rust?

I really like rust these days.. :) sounds a bit weird, but it looks cool right?! 

Do you think if I leave my round table outside all winter it will look anywhere near as cool as this?

I ordered Tolix chairs today for out kitchen/dining room (not the real ones of course) and the woman said to me.. we do have some quite damaged ones with a bit of rust.. my answer was immediate ; "I'll have 4 please!" Am I crazy?!
